BRS Pros helped Jean & Steve by installing Fortress Carbon Fiber Straps. Fortress carbon fiber/Kevlar unidirectional straps with top rim joist plates and bottom anchor footer assemblies were installed vertically at four foot centers. The foundation wall was scarified and cleaned smooth where the straps are located on the wall. The carbon fiber/kevlar top brackets are secured/bolted to the rim joists. Then the steel dual leg bottom anchors are drilled and epoxied to the floor to prevent wall shear making it 125 times stiffer than the competition. This makes the bottom plate anchors the best in the industry. High strength epoxy was then applied to the wall and straps to create a life of the structure warranty. Straps may be painted in the future for aesthetic purposes.
